1. Essential: B.E./B.Tech in Electronics/Electronics & Communication Engineering or M.Sc. in Physics with specialization in Electronics or equivalent from a recognized University or equivalent.

3. Desirable: Knowledge of German, French, Russian, Japanese or Chinese Language.

2. NATURE OF POST: All posts belong to General Central Service except otherwise mentioned. 
• Posts at Item Nos. 2,3, 4 & 5 are permanent.
• Posts at Item No. 1 is temporary.
3. PAY SCALE & CLASSIFICATION: (Figures in bracket at the end of the pay scale indicate the approx Total Emoluments (per month) (T.E.) excluding TA and HRA at the minimum of the scale).
1. Rs.15,600-39,100/- PB-3+ GP Rs.5400/- (T.E.Rs.31,710/-) ,General Central Service Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial for the posts at  Item No.2,3 & 4.
2. Rs.9,300-34,800/- (PB-2) + Rs.4600/- (Grade pay) (T.E. Rs.20,989/-), Indian Information Service, Group ‘B’, Gazetted, for the posts at Item No.5. 
3. Rs.8000-275-13,500/- (Pre-revised scale), Defence Quality Assurance Service, Group ‘A’, for the post at Item No.1. 

APPLICATION  FEE:

1. Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 50/- (Rupees Fifty) only through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp. 
2. No fee for SC/ST/PH/Women candidates of any community.  No fee exemption is available to OBC male candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.
3. Candidates can purchase the Central Recruitment Fee Stamp in the denomination of Rs. 50/- available in Head Post Officers, all Departmental/Post Offices (i.e.  down to sub-post office level) and selected Branch Post Offices throughout the Country and affix it in the space earmarked for the purpose in the application format and get in cancelled by the Counter Clerk of the Post Office with the date stamp in such a manner that they impression  cancellation stamp partially overflows on the
   application form itself taking care that the  impression must be clear and distinct to facilitate the identification of the date of issue and issuing post offices.
4. Candidates applying from outside India should deposit  the prescribed fee at the Office of the High Commissioner  for India, or of the Indian Ambassador, or of the Government of India’s Representative abroad, as the case may be.  The original receipt for such payment should accompany every application.
5. The fee sent through Money Order, Indian Postal Orders, Bank Drafts, Crossed Chques, Currency Notes and Treasury Challans will not be accepted by the Commission and such applications will be treated as without fee and will be summarily rejected.  
6. Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstance nor can the fee be held in reserve for any other examination or selection. 
7. Applications without the prescribed fee would not be  considered and summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection would be entertained.
